Taking a Swing As a SCOTUS Clerk

Mark Mosier spoke with the National Law Journal about his career in professional baseball and the influence it has had on his legal career. Mr. Mosier, a San Francisco Giants draftee who played two seasons in the minor leagues, says, "It was a great experience, but with a demanding lifestyle and a high stress level." The “do the best you can” attitude he learned amidst adversity in baseball has helped him in his legal career too. When he played, the locker next to Mr. Mosier belonged to Bobby Bonds Jr., the brother of famed Giant Barry Bonds. Mr. Mosier told the National Law Journal that Bobby gave him Barry's used shoes, so Mr. Mosier can accurately state that he "filled the shoes of Barry Bonds.
