During the National Advertising Division’s 2025 Annual Conference, Laura Kim, Chair of Covington’s Advertising and Consumer Protection Investigations Practice Group, participated on a panel entitled “Review This – Compliant and Effective Use of Consumer Reviews.” This panel explored the practical challenges brands face when leveraging consumer reviews—from featuring glowing testimonials in advertising to moderating user-generated content. Laura joined her fellow speakers in a discussion on the role of various parties in the reviews ecosystem and offered concrete tips on how to maximize the value of reviews while navigating FTC and NAD standards.
