    Alexander Trzeciak is special counsel in the firm’s Washington, DC office, where he focuses his practice on patent litigation in a broad range of technologies, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical patents. Coming to the law with an educational background in chemical engineering, Alex has experience in all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation through expert discovery, pretrial, and trial. He has argued discovery disputes and at pretrial conferences, and he has conducted direct examination of a key technical expert at trial. Alex has represented both pharmaceutical and high-technology companies, including before United States district courts, the United States International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

    • Represented a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the District of New Jersey concerning patents directed to a medication used to treat non-small cell lung cancer.
    • Representation of UCB in Hatch-Waxman litigation filed in the District of Delaware involving UCB’s Vimpat® product, used in the treatment of epilepsy and other CNS disorders.
    • Representation of Shire LLC in Hatch-Waxman cases in the District of Massachusetts and the District of New Jersey, concerning Shire’s Adderall XR® product for the treatment of ADHD.
