David V. Simon

David Simon is an associate in the firm’s New York office. As a member of the Corporate Practice Group, he advises public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate formations, and other commercial and strategic matters. David works across industries with particular focus on sports-related transactions, representing professional sports leagues, numerous individual teams and owners, as well as other governing bodies, investors and strategic partners in a variety of corporate matters, including team acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, governance, licensing agreements and other commercial transactions.

David has represented clients in connection with some of the largest team acquisitions and sales in the industry, including the acquisition of the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz and Kansas City Royals. In addition to those control sales, he has also been involved in numerous sales of minority interests across teams in the NBA, MLB, MLS and NWSL.
