Emily Pehrsson

Emily Pehrsson is an associate in the firm's Washington, DC office and a member of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity and CFIUS practice groups. Emily's practice focuses on a broad range of privacy, data security, and national security issues. She provides ongoing privacy and data protection counsel to companies, including on topics related to privacy policies, data practices, and cyber and data security incident response and preparedness. Emily also advises clients on national security risks posed by foreign investment and assists clients in seeking approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Emily maintains an active pro bono practice advising non-profit clients on privacy and cybersecurity compliance and supporting domestic violence survivors.

Before joining the firm, Emily clerked for the Honorable Allyne R. Ross on the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of New York. Emily also previously worked as a management consultant advising federal government clients on innovation and enterprise strategy.
