Harrison A. Newman

Harrison Newman is a litigator in Covington’s New York office. His practice spans commercial, complex regulatory, and appellate litigation across various industries. He also enjoys representing a variety of clients in pro bono matters, ranging from creative entrepreneurs in disputes over free speech to criminal defendants in direct appeals to political asylum-seekers in immigration proceedings.

Before joining the firm, Harrison clerked for the Honorable Peter J. Phipps of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Mark J. Bennett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
