    Bradley Markano is a litigation associate in the firm’s Washington, DC office. He has experience representing clients at all stages of complex civil litigation, including pre-complaint investigations, motions practice, discovery, trial, and appeals. Bradley has particular experience representing clients in the healthcare industry and in cases brought under the False Claims Act.

    Bradley also has an active pro bono litigation practice, and has represented clients in immigration and civil rights claims in both state and federal court.

    • Worked with Covington team representing a subsidiary of a Fortune 10 company in a qui tam case, resulting in the grant of summary judgment and the Government's dismissal pursuant to 31 U.S.C. § 3730(c)(2)(A), as well as representation of the same client in successfully defending the appeal of that judgment before the Third Circuit.
    • Helped secure dismissal of retaliation claims brought against a major pharmaceutical company under 31 U.S.C. § 3730(h), in the Northern District of Ohio.
    • Represents a national pharmaceutical manufacturers in a False Claims Act case premised on alleged Anti-Kickback Statute violations and fraudulent inducement claims.
    • Co-chaired a one week jury trial in the District of Utah on behalf of plaintiffs asserting Fourth Amendment violations by federal law enforcement officers.
