    Baba provides strategic and policy advice to clients doing business within and across Africa. Leveraging an exceptionally strong network across the private sector and government, Baba assists clients through building strategic relationships, investment opportunity analysis, and overall strategic business development across sectors.

    Baba has two decades of experience spanning international tax, corporate advisory services and investment banking. During this time, he has supported corporates, state-owned companies and senior policymakers on a broad range of issues, including asset acquisition and disposal strategies, indigenization policies and related transaction execution, negotiation of large M&A transactions, capital raisings, as well as hard and local currency bond issuances for SOEs as well as the South African sovereign.

    Baba previously served as a senior executive in two large financial services firms, where his experience included primary responsibility over public sector relationships.

    • Debt issuances in accordance with Rule 144A of the SEC for various South African State Owned Entities, including the National Treasury of South Africa, Eskom SOC and Transnet SOC respectively.
