Anne Lee

Anne Lee represents clients in complex commercial and antitrust litigation and has litigated cases at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. She represents clients in connection with civil and criminal investigations before the DOJ and FTC. In addition to her litigation work, she advises clients on a range of antitrust issues, including antitrust compliance and merger analysis and was recently named to Global Competition Review’s “40 Under 40.” Prior to attending law school, Ms. Lee worked for Monitor Group as a management strategy consultant with a focus in the health care space.

  • Represented Agri Stats in consolidated putative antitrust class actions brought by direct and indirect poultry purchasers alleging a conspiracy to reduce output and raise the prices of broiler chickens.
  • Represented Facebook in federal antitrust lawsuit alleging monopolization and tying claims.
  • Represented Expedia in federal antitrust and consumer protection MDL litigation; obtained dismissal of all claims with prejudice.
  • Represented Eli Lilly in federal antitrust and commercial litigation with business partner; successfully defeated motion for preliminary injunction that was affirmed on appeal.
  • Successful representation of Vulcan Materials in its $900 MM acquisition of Aggregates USA.
  • Successful representation of Expedia in its $1.3 billion acquisition of Orbitz Worldwide.
  • Representing the National Football League in disputes involving antitrust and labor issues.
  • Advising corporate clients on antitrust dimensions of complex joint ventures and collaborations.
  • Representation of a major manufacturer in an international price-fixing cartel investigation. DOJ closed its grand jury investigation without action.
  • Representation of a leading electronics company in a multi-district class action antitrust litigation in U.S. District Court.
  • Representation of a pharmaceutical company in a False Claims Act litigation in U.S. District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
  • Representation of pharmaceutical companies in product liability suits.
  • Representation of senior executives in an international criminal cartel investigation.
  • Assisted with the FTC review of a $41 billion merger in the pharmaceutical industry.

Pro Bono

  • First-chaired a criminal jury trial and secured a judgment of acquittal for a client accused of burglary and theft.
  • Briefed and argued an appeal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit challenging the dismissal of a petition for a writ of habeas corpus.
  • Representation of four same-sex couples, civil rights organizations, and an interfaith group of clergy in support of Washington, DC same-sex marriage legislation.
  • Successful representation of a Peruvian citizen in filing her immigration petition under the Violence Against Women Act.
