Bo represents and advises clients on complex commercial transactions involving technology, intellectual property, and data.
Bo draws from his transactional practice, experience as a federal judicial clerk, and copyright law expertise to deliver rigorous and commercially-minded service across a wide range of industries, including entertainment, advertising, digital health, and hospitality. Bo drafts commercial agreements as part of licensing, collaborations, and other standalone transactions. He also advises clients on standalone copyright and trademark matters as well as intellectual property, software, and technology issues arising out of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Bo maintains an active pro bono practice focusing primarily on assisting artists and nonprofit organizations on copyright, trademark, licensing, and other commercial and intellectual property issues.
Bo re-joined the firm after clerking for the Honorable Carolyn Dineen King of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He regularly teaches a section of CopyrightX, a semester-long online copyright law course administered by Harvard Law School’s Berkman Klein Center, and his scholarship on copyright law has been published in the Washington Law Review.
