A seasoned litigator, Jessica Hill focuses on Section 337 proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). She has participated in seventeen such investigations and eight evidentiary hearings, cross-examining witnesses and handling oral arguments. She also has experience litigating patents in federal court. She represents clients across a wide range of technologies, including smartphones, wireless communications, radio base stations, cable television set-top boxes, image processing systems, and graphics data processing systems.

Ms. Hill also advises companies in dealings with federal regulatory agencies and counsels clients on antidumping and countervailing duty considerations.

Represented complainant in investigation involving numerous aspects of smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Case settled favorably shortly after the evidentiary hearing.
  • Certain Wireless Communications Base Stations and Components Thereof, Inv. No. 337-TA-871. Represented respondent in investigation related to LTE base-station communications technology. Complainant withdrew the complaint on the eve of trial.
  • Certain Electronic Devices with Communication Capabilities, Components Thereof, and Related Software, Inv. No. 337-TA-808. Represented complainant in investigation relating to wireless communications of LTE-enabled smartphones and tablets. Case settled favorably before the ALJ’s initial determination was expected.
  • Certain Electronic Devices with Image Processing Systems, Inv. No. 337-TA-724. Represented complainant in investigation relating to texture compression and decompression (i.e., graphics processing) in smartphones, tablets, and computers. Case settled favorably after the final determination.
