Laurie-Anne Grelier assists global companies, especially Asian multinationals, with navigating complex areas of European competition law, including antitrust and cartel investigations, the clearance of mergers, the structuring of distribution, collaborative and other commercial arrangements, and issues related to abuse of dominant position. Ms. Grelier also assists these companies in litigation before the European Courts, as well as with state aid and trade matters.
Ms. Grelier has elementary proficiency in Korean.
- Assisted Samsung Electronics in the EU cartel investigation into TFT-LCD.
- Assisted Samsung Electronics in the EU investigation into Smart Card Chips.
- Assisting Samsung Electronics in relation to follow-on litigation in the EU.
- Assisting leading container shipping companies in investigations by competition authorities as well as regarding the structuring and operations of their alliances and other cooperation agreements for compliance with EU competition law.
- Assisting one of the largest steel companies in proceedings brought by a competitor before the U.S. International Trade Commission alleging antitrust violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act.
- Assisting a major Asian auto parts supplier in the context of investigation by competition authorities into alleged collusion.
- Advised a leading global chemicals producer in connection with potential issues under Article 101 TFEU.
- Represented SDI in its appeal against the EU Commission’s CRT cartel decision.
- Advising a leading Asian automotive company with the EU competition and merger regulatory aspects associated with the structuring of its activities.
- Advised a leading semiconductor company on the antitrust and merger clearance aspects of contemplated transactions.
- Obtained EU merger clearance for a major Asian electronics producer in connection with the restructuring of certain component business activities.
- Obtained merger clearance for AstraZeneca in the EU and other jurisdictions in connection with its diabetes alliance with Bristol-Myers Squibb for the operation of BMS’ Amylin diabetes business.
- Advising clients in the technology, automotive, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, fashion, and medical device sectors on various aspects of their European distribution networks and other commercial and collaborative arrangements.
