Katharina Ewert is an associate in the London Life Sciences group. Ms. Ewert advises major national and multinational companies in the food, medical device, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors on regulatory and contentious matters.

Ms. Ewert’s regulatory advisory practice encompasses the regulation of food ingredients; health and nutritional claims for foods and food supplements, marketing claims for cosmetics, as well as public procurement law. Ms. Ewert represents clients in administrative proceedings in the English and EU Courts.

  • Representation of pharmaceutical clients in appeal proceedings before the European Court of Justice relating to the transparency of data under the Transparency Regulation (EC) 1049/2001.
  • Representation of a global pharmaceutical company in proceedings before the European General Court relating to the suspension of a marketing authorization for a medicinal product. 
  • Assisting a multinational food company in proceedings relating to the use of health claims.
