WASHINGTON—The American Lawyer has again named Covington as its Product Liability Litigation Department of the Year. This is the second time in a row the firm has won the award, and Covington has now won the award four of the six times it has been bestowed.
The publication also named Covington a Litigation Department of the Year finalist in the General category.
Covington’s Product Liability and Mass Torts practice is regularly recognized for its results: trial wins, expert exclusion rulings that end mass litigations, other dispositive legal rulings, and an unprecedented string of appellate victories. Its litigators have led the defense of many of the largest, most high-profile mass tort matters, including multidistrict litigation involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices; risks arising from social media, video games, connected and automated vehicles, and AI; consumer products; food; automotive products; battlefield torts; and claims arising from acts of terrorism abroad.
