Latinvex Names Three Covington Partners Among “Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers” for 2023

NEW YORK— Latinvex has named Covington partners Nicole Duclos, Miguel López Forastier, and Gabriel Mesa among its list of Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers. The annual ranking is a selection of the leading lawyers from international law firms that are involved in the legal business in Latin America.

Nicole represents clients in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as in litigation in aid of arbitration. Her experience spans construction, energy, mining, agroindustry, and M&A. Nicole also sits regularly as arbitrator. This is the eighth year she has been named to the list.

Miguel’s practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation. Miguel has successfully represented a wide range of clients, including those in the technology, oil and gas, mining, communications, financial services, and food industries in both investor-State and commercial arbitrations.

Gabriel Mesa is co-head of the firm’s Latin America Corporate Practice Group. He advises companies on corporate transactions, including joint ventures, private mergers and acquisitions, financings and restructurings in Latin America and other emerging markets as well as in the United States. This is the tenth consecutive year that Gabriel has been named to the list.
