Kurt Calia Named 2022 Top Intellectual Property Lawyer

PALO ALTO — The Daily Journal has named Kurt Calia to its 2022 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list, a recognition of the leading California lawyers who specialize in intellectual property law, for the third consecutive year.

Kurt is a partner in Covington’s Palo Alto office who tries complex civil litigation and intellectual property matters in courts and tribunals throughout the country, and counsels clients in intellectual property matters. His practice focuses on the firm's technology clients, ranging from pharmaceutical chemistry, biotechnology, and biomedical devices, to mechanical devices, business methods, microprocessors, and software.

In its profile, the Daily Journal highlights his representations of Elbit Systems of America in a patent infringement case related to the helmet-mounted display systems used in the U.S. F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet and a patent infringement case for Lundbeck and Takeda over the antidepressant Trintellix.
