Gustavo Akkerman and Thomas Lopez Named as Latinvex Rising Stars

NEW YORK—Latinvex has named Gustavo Akkerman and Thomas Lopez as 2021 Rising Legal Stars in Latin America, which “singles out 25 rising stars at international law firms doing business in the region.” The criteria for selection was the scope and prominence of work and future potential.

Gustavo, who grew up and previously practiced law in Brazil, is a dual-licensed attorney in New York and Brazil, and provides counsel to clients navigating the Latin American business and legal environments.

Thomas advises private and public companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, and other corporate matters, including entity formation, reorganizations, and corporate governance.
