Covington Wins Accenture's 2021 Outside Counsel Diversity Award

WASHINGTON—Accenture named Covington as one of its four inaugural 2021 Outside Counsel Diversity Award winners, honoring law firms for their exceptional efforts in 2020 to create a culture of equality in their workplaces and communities.

In selecting Covington, Accenture highlighted the firm’s development and advancement of women and ethnic minority lawyers at all levels and its 3.0 Mansfield Rule Certification Plus. Additionally, Accenture noted the firm’s commitment to partnerships with diversity organizations and community action, including contributing nearly 120,000 hours of pro bono work to promote social and racial justice.

Accenture selected the winners from more than 65 firms, considering firms across small, medium, and large law firms in three geographic regions. Firms are recognized for their diverse representation (internally, and on staffing Accenture matters) and commitment to inclusion and diversity activities and organizations (within their own firms and across the profession and communities).
