WASHINGTON, DC, September 14, 2015 - The National Law Journal has named Phyllis Jones and Daniel Suleiman among its “D.C. Rising Stars.” The list recognizes Washington, D.C.’s “40 most promising lawyers age 40 and under.”
Ms. Jones focuses on complex legal issues facing clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Her wide-ranging litigation practice has a particular emphasis on the representation of pharmaceutical clients in mass tort proceedings, including at trial. The National Law Journal recognized Ms. Jones’ role in securing defense verdicts in the first three trials over alleged withdrawal symptoms associated with Eli Lilly’s Cymbalta product.
Mr. Suleiman represents individuals and institutions in high-stakes white collar criminal matters, FCPA and congressional investigations, and other complex matters. From 2010 to 2013, he served in the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division, including as deputy chief of staff and counselor to then-Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer. The National Law Journal highlights Mr. Suleiman’s work guiding Asiana Airlines through a National Transportation Safety Board crash investigation and representing individual clients in criminal investigations.
