WASHINGTON, DC, August 11, 2015 —The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Covington partner and former federal prosecutor Daniel Shallman to its list of the city’s “Most Influential Lawyers” in the white collar and cyber practice areas.
In selecting Mr. Shallman, the publication noted that he has handled “a string of impressive matters” since joining the firm in March to lead its Southern California white collar defense and investigations practice in its new L.A. office. The article cited Mr. Shallman’s prior work representing the Audit Committee of a leading international gaming company in a Justice Department and SEC investigation regarding alleged improper payments to foreign government officials, as well as his representation of a leading Los Angeles-based internet company in responding to international cyberattacks.
In addition, the Los Angeles Business Journal noted that Mr. Shallman is “a high-profile leader in the white collar community and is widely respected by his peers” as the co-chair of the ABA’s committee on white collar matters for Southern California.
