Emily Henn and Robyn Polashuk Named Top Women Lawyers in California

SILICON VALLEY, May 15, 2015 — Covington partners Emily Johnson Henn and Robyn Polashuk have been named to the Daily Journal’s list of “Top Women Lawyers” in California. The list recognizes 100 lawyers who “try complex commercial disputes and put together industry-transforming deals.”

Ms. Henn, based in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, was recognized for her successful representation of SPI Group SA in a dispute with Russia's Federal Treasury Enterprise Sojuzplodoimport over the ownership of the U.S. Stolichnaya vodka trademark. The publication also highlighted her representation on behalf of The Walt Disney Co., Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC and Pixar in the defense of an antitrust class action concerning recruiting practices at animation studios. Ms. Henn is chair of the firm’s class action litigation group.
 
Ms. Polashuk, managing partner of Covington’s Los Angeles office, was recognized for her work representing content providers in distribution agreements, including Univision Communications’ deal with DISH Network for the carriage of Univision's broadcast stations and cable networks on DISH’s “over the top” Internet-based Sling TV service. She was also recognized for her representation of The Walt Disney Co. in negotiations for Disney's renewal agreement with DIRECTV.
