WASHINGTON, DC, December 24, 2014 - Law360 named Covington partner Rob Wick a “most valuable player” in competition law. Law360’s “MVP of the Year” awards recognize lawyers who have had successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters, and record-breaking deals in the past year.

In its profile of Mr. Wick, Law360 highlighted his win on behalf of Samsung Electronics in its high-profile antitrust litigation with Motorola Mobility. On Nov. 26, 2014, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit rejected Motorola's attempt to hold Samsung and several other of the world’s largest liquid crystal display manufacturers liable under U.S. antitrust law for allegedly fixing prices of mobile phone displays sold to Motorola’s foreign subsidiaries. Mr. Wick argued the appeal on behalf of all defendants.

Law360 also noted Mr. Wick’s win on behalf of JPMorgan Chase & Co. In that case, he helped secure the complete dismissal of a consolidated set of antitrust class actions against JPMorgan and others.
