The American Lawyer Names Covington Among Top Litigation Departments of the Year

WASHINGTON, DC, January 3, 2014 — Covington & Burling has been selected by The American Lawyer as one of the nation’s top six litigation departments. A profile of the firm’s litigation practice is featured in the January 2014 issue of the magazine.

In naming Covington a finalist for its biennial “Litigation Department of the Year” award, The American Lawyer writes: “In the six years since Covington & Burling last appeared as a finalist in this contest, its litigation group has grown a whopping 40 percent. Covington quadrupled its intellectual property team, beefed up white-collar, product liability and antitrust, and dived into arbitration.”
