Theodore Garrett Named ‘Global Environmental Lawyer of the Year’

WASHINGTON, DC, June 6, 2012 — For the eighth consecutive year, Who’s Who Legal, The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, named Theodore Garrett the “International Lawyer of the Year 2012 - Environmental Law.” Mr. Garrett has received this award every year since its inception in 2005.

In announcing the award, Who’s Who Legal Editor-in-Chief Callum Campbell said, “Theodore Garrett received unrivalled levels of praise from our sources both in private practice and in house across the globe, and we are delighted to declare him the leading lawyer in the world for Environment work once again.” He added that Mr. Garrett “received more votes from clients and peers in the course of our research than any other individual worldwide.”

Honorees are selected based on nominations of thousands of clients and private practitioners from over 100 countries to decide on the most highly regarded experts across 31 commercial practice areas. The award honors leaders in each field who received the most votes in their practice area. Who’s Who Legal is the official research partner of the International Bar Association and strategic research partner of the ABA Section of International Law.
