Covington Pledges $100,000 for Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 9, 2005 -  Covington & Burling announced today it will join several other law firms around the country in donating money to assist in the relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  The firm will donate $25,000 each to the American Red Cross and America's Second Harvest, two leading organizations that are at the forefront of relief efforts. In addition, the firm will match up to $50,000 in contributions by all Covington lawyers and staff to those two organizations.  Covington also plans to explore other ways to assist the victims in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
