"There Won't Be ESG Without Defense": PE Tipped to Flourish in Thriving, Evolving Sector

Mark Thompson’s commentary was included in a PE Hub article examining the private equity landscape in the defense industry as Europe begins making rapid increases in defense spending.

Mark discusses the importance of technological expertise by private equity funds considering investing, stating that “funds that do well will be ones that really understand advanced tech. They also need a good understanding of how to work with governments and the regulatory and policy side of it.”

Mark also noted that the next five years or more will be a “really great time” for defense investments. “Regardless of a possible settlement in Ukraine, everyone will be spending more money in the defense sector,” he said.
