Chevron Ruling Could Clog the Drug Pipeline

Jerry Masoudi’s commentary was included in Politico’s Monday Pulse newsletter, which focused on how the U.S. Supreme Court’s Loper Bright ruling overturning the Chevron doctrine would affect the development of new drugs and medical devices.

As the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) process to reach decisions could fall under greater scrutiny and lead to more lawsuits, Jerry observed that “the agency is really going to have to build in a lot more explanation of why it comes to the decisions that it does.”
