Jayni said that “the California law prompts a close look at what climate-related materials a company has publicly available. The ability for many different entities to bring potential lawsuits—combined with the fact that it’s a very novel law, with some ambiguities in the way that it’s been drafted—just has raised a lot of questions regarding how companies should seek to come into compliance.”
