Former FTC Consumer Protection Director Rejoins Covington

Andrew Smith spoke with The National Law Journal about rejoining Covington from the FTC. Mr. Smith says he feels he can hit the ground running with a built-in client base after his stint in government. “Those are relationships I developed with clients at Covington over several years, and many if not all of them continue to be clients of Covington. I hope to pick up where I left off.”

He adds, “We have 750 lawyers in D.C. alone, touching just about every regulatory issue. As I thought about other options that might be out there for me, I can’t imagine a firm better positioned than Covington.”
