UK Election Brings Certainty but Concerns Continue

Francis Maude is quoted in the International Financial Law Review regarding the UK election results and its effect on the future of Brexit. Lord Maude says, “It is too early to say for definite what will come next, though I feel that London will continue to be the financial center of Europe. It is where the critical means of capability is. I’m confident that the financial services have a bright future ahead. However, this isn’t a god given right, it has to be earned - every day, every week, every year. The vigor of the financial services industry will not depend on holding onto every job and activity but instead on innovation and professional infrastructure.”
