House Clears GMO Labeling Bill as Eyes Turn to Rulemaking

According to Guggenheim, while there is considerable will in the administration to resolve the GMO labeling issue, agency resources would also play a role in the rulemaking timeline. Other issues likely to crop up include the specifics on the on-package labeling. “I think there will be questions about the nature of a symbol or the electronic link that is provided,” she says. “I think there will be pressure to make that as accessible to as many Americans as possible.”
