Covington Seals Up DC Office Move To CityCenterDC

December 8, 2014, Law360

The firm is featured in this Law360 article regarding its recent move to CityCenter in Washington, D.C.:

As the anchor tenant, Covington & Burling is taking up 420,000 square feet in two of CityCenterDC's connected office towers. The move comes more than two years after the firm first inked a letter of intent to move from a two-building complex at 1201 Pennsylvania Ave., the firm's home of more than three decades, to the up-and-coming downtown area of the city.

“The firm was widely viewed as a pioneer in placemaking in the early stages of the revitalization of Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and the Capitol. Covington is doing this once again with its move to the transformative development at CityCenter,” Debra Lehman Smith, a partner at building designer LSM, said in a statement. “As Covington approaches its 100th anniversary, it again adds a terrific new chapter to its story of Washington leadership.”
