Covington adds Vos

June 12, 2014, Politico

"The law firm Covington & Burling has brought on European public policy expert Sebastian Vos as a partner in the firm’s Brussels office. In his new role, he’ll lead the European division of the firm’s global public policy and government affairs practice. He’ll lead a team that includes former Ambassador Jean De Ruyt, former EU Parliament member Wim van Velzen and Brussels veteran Paul Adamson."

“It’s a firm that has a very good reputation not only in Washington D.C. but also in Brussels,” Vos tells PI about his new move — adding that he was impressed by the firm’s commitment to the European market. That commitment is something that the firm has stressed in recent years — pointing to its ever-expanding global footprint. Vos was most recently at the European public affairs firm Fipra as director of the Brussels office. He’s also done stints at the United Nations, the European Commission, Goldman Sachs and the firm Freshfields. He is a member of the Amsterdam and the Brussels bars and speaks Dutch, English, German and French."
