As described in our earlier alert, in August the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “Commission”) adopted amendments to its disclosure rules to eliminate requirements it deemed “redundant, duplicative, overlapping, outdated, or superseded” (the “Amendments”) based, in part, on other Commission rules and generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (“U.S. GAAP”). Many of the Amendments eliminate disclosure requirements from Regulation S-K and/or Regulation S-X.
