Covington Attends Lambda Legal Liberty Awards Dinner

Lambda Legal hosted its annual Liberty Awards National Dinner in New York City. The honorees included Kate Kendall, the former Executive Director of National Center for Lesbian Rights. For her longtime dedication to the LGBTQ community, Kate was recognized by Tim Gill, founder and co-chair of the Gill Foundation, and Gwen Marcus, General Counsel of Showtime. She humbly accepted her award, noting "the only way you survive in leadership, in any movement, is through being held by others."

Lambda Legal, a longtime Covington pro bono partner, is one of the largest national legal organizations supporting the civil rights of LGBTQ+ people and those living with HIV, through impact litigation, education, and public policy work.

Covington was a proud sponsor of the awards dinner. Representing Covington at the event were Paulo Bavaro and Bill Collins.
