Covington Hosts Annual Firmwide Latino Affinity Group Dinner

Covington attorneys from the New York, Washington, and California offices gathered at Rosa Mexicano in Washington, DC for the second annual firmwide Latino Affinity Group dinner. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to connect with fellow colleagues, make new acquaintances, and discuss day to day life at the firm, among other topics.

José Arvelo welcomed the attendees, and everyone shared information about their backgrounds, practice areas, and favorite holiday food to usher in the holiday season. Miguel López Forastier gave some brief remarks and noted the growth of the Latino Affinity Group from just a handful of lawyers when he first started at the firm. The group also welcomed several new associates, visiting attorneys, and counsel that have joined the firm this year.

The firm’s Latino Affinity Group helps the Hispanic/Latino lawyers of the firm connect with one another and provides them with unique mentoring, learning, and development opportunities. Covington is proud of its diverse team of Latinx lawyers, and welcomes the opportunity to continue this tradition in the coming years.
