Ingrid Rechtin, partner in the Intellectual Property and Corporate practice groups, will participate in the Women in Law Hackathon. Created by the Diversity Lab, the 2016 Women in the Law Hackathon is sponsored by Stanford Law School and Bloomberg Law.
Ingrid is one of 54 partners from various firms participating. She will compete in the six-month challenge in a team of six, working to develop an innovative proposal that reviews the presence and retention of women attorneys at law firms.
Ingrid explains: “I would love to see more women across the table in negotiations and in the profession for the long run. I am excited for the opportunity to tackle the issue of gender imbalance in the senior ranks at law firms in the creative and ‘outside the box’ structure that the Hackathon is providing.
Ingrid and her team will present their final proposal at Stanford Law School in June 2016.
