In celebration of women leaders in South Africa, Covington invites you to a networking brunch and panel discussion under the theme "Women Rising - the Art of Leadership." The panel will take place on Thursday, September 28 and will be moderated by Vice Chair of our Africa Practice, Mosa Mkhize, and will feature several South African business leaders and professionals.
Speaker Profiles:
Zoleka Lisa is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs at the South African Breweries. Zoleka oversees SAB’s reputation, regulatory, stakeholder relations, transformation, entrepreneurship and ESG strategy in several markets including South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini. She represents SAB on a number of boards including the global AB InBev Foundation, and Business Unity South Africa. Zoleka is a SAB Foundation Trustee and active board member of the Beer Association of South Africa.
Lindi Vundla is Senior Corporate Counsel: Head of Legal (Africa) at Amazon. Lindi is an experienced professional committed to working in and serving the African continent. Lindi's experience spans the technology, publishing, aviation and steel sectors, and she has practiced in law firms in both South Africa and the United States.
Dinao Lerutla is co-founder and managing partner of Maia Capital Partners, a financial services firm founded in 2020 to facilitate impact investing. Dinao was one of the 13 emerging fund managers selected by the Southern African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association in 2019 to be incubated in the first Fund Manager Development Programme introduced by SAVCA to grow the number of women fund managers in the industry. Dinao has recently been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Development Bank of South Africa.
Mosa Mkhize is a policy advisor and leads Covington’s Africa Public Policy Practice. Drawing on her experience both in government and in various roles in the private sector, Mosa provides strategic policy and regulatory advice to clients doing business with and across Africa. Mosa does so by leveraging close to two decades of experience in international trade, public policy and government affairs.
