On Monday, June 26, 2023, Scott Freling (Partner and Vice Chair, Government Contracts practice) and Carl Wiersum (Associate, Government Contracts practice) will co-lead a webinar hosted by the Public Contracting Institute. The webinar, "Novations and Name Changes," will cover the following topics:

• When to submit to FAR 42.1204 novation request, and when to submit a FAR 42.1205 change of name request;
• The basics of the novation and name change processes, including requirements, sequencing, and timing;
• How the novation and name change processes can fit into the overall restructuring or transaction;
• What to do with other corporate changes, like a statutory merger or an LLC conversion; and
• Common pitfalls in the process and steps contractors can take to try to avoid unnecessary delay.
