Celebration of Pride

Date: Tuesday, June 30, 2020

In celebration of Pride, we invite you to a virtual in-home film screening of Gay Chorus Deep South, an award-winning documentary film by David Charles Rodrigues.

The film chronicles the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir as they embark on a tour of the U.S. South in response to a wave of discriminatory anti-LGBTQ laws and the divisive 2016 election.

Led by Artistic Director Dr. Tim Seelig, the tour brings a message of music, love, and acceptance to communities and individuals confronting intolerance.

You are welcome to view the film from home at a time convenient to you, and then please join us for a virtual live discussion with San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Tim Seelig, and Executive Director Chris Verdugo, moderated by Covington Partner Wade Ackerman.
