The Implications of Brexit and Next Steps

Date: Thursday, November 3, 2016 8:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Venue: Stanford Park Hotel, Menlo Park, CA and Covington & Burling LLP in San Francisco, CA

On November 3rd, Covington’s EU Public Policy and Government Affairs (PPGA) team will host a discussion with our Senior Advisor, Lord Francis Maude, formerly the UK’s Minister of State for Trade and Investment (and previously Minister for the Cabinet Office) under the Cameron government. Following the British people’s historic June 23 vote to leave the European Union, Lord Maude will outline the implications of Brexit for the UK, the EU, and international stakeholders.

Lord Maude has held a number of influential positions in the UK, including shadow Chancellor, shadow Foreign Secretary, and Conservative Party Chairman. Sebastian Vos, EU Chair of the PPGA practice, will introduce Lord Maude and moderate the discussion.
