Covington Participates at the Inaugural T14 Veterans Conference

June 24, 2016

Covington was a sponsor of the Inaugural T14 Veterans Conference, organized by the GULC Military Law Society, which brought together the leadership of student veteran groups at many of the country’s top law schools to create a National Federation of Law Student Veterans.

Partner and chair of Covington’s Veterans Affinity Group, Ben Block, participated in a panel on veterans in private sector careers, which focused on the unique skill sets that veterans can provide as well as challenges veterans can face in the recruiting process. Ben commented: “I really enjoyed participating on this panel and getting to meet so many outstanding law students.” Associate Jeff Bozman participated on a panel about veteran pro bono work and explained its value. Jeff also highlighted Covington’s frequent successful work in veteran pro bono matters.

The event was well-received and featured around 40 student-veterans attendees. Ben concluded: “I was honored to be a part of this. It was a great program for veterans who are just beginning their legal careers.”
