Covington Hosts Training Event in Advance of Citizenship Day

March 3, 2016

Covington hosted a training event in advance of the Citizenship Day on March 12, 2016. The training was led by the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC), in partnership with the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association and Asian Americans Advancing Justice. Citizenship Day is a national movement to provide free legal assistance to help permanent residents apply for naturalization. Over twenty attorneys and law students from around D.C. attended the event and received training on how to assist the pro bono clinic attendees. Associate Nooree Lee and Pro Bono Manager Sharmaine Heng attended and welcomed the trainers and volunteers on behalf of Covington.
