Asian American Affinity Group Hosts "Paths to Partnership" Panel

Mona PatelThe Asian American Affinity Group hosted a panel entitled, “Paths to Partnership.” Mona Patel moderated the panel, which featured four newly elected Asian-American partners in the DC and New York offices: Anne Lee, Michael Nonaka, Ranga Sudarshan and Christopher Yeung.

Thirty-two lawyers from the Washington, DC, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco and Los Angeles offices attended the panel, where the speakers discussed their experiences as junior, mid-level and senior associates, the steps they took towards achieving partnership, and their practical advice on how to excel and become a stand-out lawyer at Covington. The panelists shared insights on the importance of networking inside and outside of one’s own practice group, becoming involved in a diverse range of matters and firm activities, and developing strong communication skills.
