Covington Is Proud to Be a Signatory to the Charter of Diversity
October 11, 2023
Covington is proud to be a signatory to the Charter of Diversity (Charta der Vielfalt). The Charta der Vielfalt, launched in 2006 in Germany, seeks to promote diversity in companies and institutions and has the support of the Commissioner for the Federal Government for Migration, Refugees and Integration, State Minister Reem Alabali-Radovan. The initiative has been sponsored by the non-profit association Charta der Vielfalt e.V. since 2010, and Chancellor Olaf Scholz is a patron of the effort.
The initiative supports the recognition, appreciation and integration of diversity into Germany’s business culture. The core tenets of the initiative include the goal of creating working environments free of bias, and valuing all employees, regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender, religion and worldview, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation and social background.
We are proud to join more than 4,800 companies and organisations, with a total of nearly 15 million employees, that are signatories to the Charta.
