Ralph M. Muoio

We are deeply saddened that Ralph Muoio, our long-time colleague and friend, passed away on February 25, 2026. 

After graduating from Columbia University, studying at the Sorbonne, and receiving his law degree from the University of Virginia, Ralph joined the firm in 1997 following a clerkship with Judge Bryan of the Eastern District of Virginia. During his nearly 30-year career at the firm, Ralph was beloved by all who encountered him. He was a thoughtful, able, and brilliant lawyer, but also unfailingly kind and considerate in his dealings with others. As an insurance coverage practitioner, he commanded the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He had a firm grasp of all aspects of the field and was unusually adept at turning what looked like lost causes into winning ones. Outside of the firm, Ralph was well known in the DC-area cycling community as an accomplished racer.
