Joan Li is a litigation associate who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state court. She also has experience with government investigations and maintains an active pro bono practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Li clerked for the Honorable Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Pro Bono

  • Represented multiple Central American women in obtaining asylum status in the United States.
  • Represented legal services organizations in filing amicus briefs in support of enjoining the rescission of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
