    Flora Johnston is an associate in Covington’s London Corporate Practice Group.

    Flora advises on equity capital market transactions, private mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, and general corporate governance.

    Flora has particular expertise in advising public companies on equity capital market transactions. She represents a wide range of corporate clients with a particular focus on the life sciences sector.

    Flora is also very committed to Pro Bono and has a particular interest in human rights matters. She serves on Covington’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Social Committee, the EMEA Reproductive Rights Taskforce and is an ambassador for the firm on the Aspiring Solicitors network.

    • Advising Destiny Pharma plc, an AIM-quoted clinical stage biotechnology company focused on the development of novel medicines on its successful £8 million equity fundraise via a placing, subscription and open offer.
    • Advised an AIM-quoted pioneering immunology business on its successful £17 million debt and equity financing and subsequent £40.75 million facility with associated equity financing.
    • Advised biopharmaceutical company in its acquisition of UK-based pre-clinical biotech company for $30 million.
    • Advised global pharmaceutical company on a strategic product divestment for $270 million.
    • Advised global renewable energy company on cross-border acquisition for $61 million.
    • Advised global technology company on acquisition of European manufacturing company.
