Ian Carrico

Ian Carrico is an associate in the firm’s Washington, DC office and a member of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”) Practice Groups.

Ian advises clients on a broad range of cybersecurity, data privacy, and national security issues. He has assisted clients with understanding and complying with privacy obligations, conducting internal investigations and due diligence, and preparing submissions to CFIUS and other regulatory agencies.

In addition to his regular practice, Ian also aids veterans with discharge upgrade petitions as part of his pro bono practice.

Prior to joining Covington, Ian worked as a software engineer for various media companies primarily focusing on internet advertising and consumer experience.
