Ashley Joyner Chavous represents corporations and individuals facing criminal and civil investigation. She advises clients on a broad range of compliance issues arising under fraud and anti-corruption laws, including the False Claims Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Ms. Chavous has experience representing clients at all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. She has argued motions before state and federal courts, and examined fact and expert witnesses at trial.
Ms. Chavous also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a particular interest in special education advocacy and child custody/neglect litigation.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Chavous was a newspaper reporter covering crime and the courts.
